WORKSHOP DESCRIPTION
 

This course is for SAS beginners who want to start learning SAS to manipulate and analyze their own data. The course discusses data management, descriptive statistics, Chi-Square test, t-tests, ANOVA, linear regression, logistic regression, and survival analysis concepts with an emphasis on top public health problems in Saudi Arabia

 LEARNING OBJECTIVE
 

Reading Excel/SPSS file into SAS
Manage and modify data variables
Examine data distributions and quality
Assess the reliability (internal consistency) of a questionnaire
Generate descriptive statistics and explore data with graphs
Create plots using ODS Statistical Graphics
Use chi-square statistics to detect associations between categorical variables
Perform tests of differences between two group means
Perform analysis of variance and post-hoc multiple comparison techniques
Fit and interpret multiple linear regression model
Fit and interpret multiple logistic regression model
Test whether survival curves across groups are different\
Test whether factor(s) associated with a higher hazard of event
Learn how to design well-formed tables for publication
